The Museum of Apoxyomenos, Mali Lošinj

This elegant museum is entirely dedicated to one exhibit, the bronze statue of Apoxyomenos. The perfectly preserved statue was discovered in 1997, in the nearby seabed, at a depth of 45m.  It was retrieved in 1999 having spent nearly two millennia under water.

Travel with Luxury Gold and explore the museum at your own pace, with VIP after-hours access. It’s like having your own private viewing.

Zadar

Take a step back in time as you walk the streets of Zadar, the ancient capital of Dalmatia. Explore the remains of the 1st century Roman Forum, the 9th century St. Donatus Basilica, and the 16th century Venetian city walls. Be sure to see the modern Sea Organ and enjoy the symphony of sounds generated by the waves.

Hvar

Hvar is famed for being the sunniest island in Croatia. With stunning landscapes, lavender fields and a lively social scene, it makes for a vibrant destination. Walk the streets of picturesque Hvar town and explore its historic center. Visit the baroque St. Stephen’s Cathedral with its famous bell tower. The Island is also home to the oldest town in Croatia, Stari Grad, colonized by the Greeks in 384 BC.

Split

The vibrant port city of Split is well-known for its ancient center, beautiful architecture and exquisite cuisine. Dotted with impressive Roman monuments, particularly notable is Diocletian’s Palace. Built for the Roman Emperor Diocletian during the 4th century AD, the palace is home to notable attractions such as the Cathedral of Saint Domnius (offering magnificent views from its tower), Temple of Jupiter, Peristyle Square, and a statue of Marko Marulic – the founder of Croatian literature.
